When you join The Mindvalley Yoga Quest, you enjoy personal guidance from not one but nine world-class instructors – each with a unique perspective that enriches your understanding of the whole.
Your primary designated host is Cecilia Sardeo, Mindvalley’s resident yoga instructor, who has helped thousands of people reap the rewards of this life-changing practice in a fun and accessible way.
Joining Cecilia is a selection of critically acclaimed instructors worldwide, including international sensation Tymi Howard, the “Anthony Robbins of yoga” Dashama Gordon, and rebel Erin Motz.
Under normal circumstances, it would be nearly impossible (and extremely costly) to learn from all these fantastic teachers under one unified curriculum – but for the first time, The Mindvalley Yoga Quest makes it accessible to anyone.
About Cecilia Sardeo
Cecilia Sardeo is Mindvalley’s yoga coach – and a celebrated teacher with thousands of students worldwide.
Her father introduced Cecilia to the ancient art of Yoga as a child. However, she gave up on the practice in adulthood as she focused all her attention and energy on her career and entrepreneurial endeavors.
But after years of “hustling” and relentless work, Cecilia, at 28, found herself 44 pounds overweight and more stressed out and unbalanced than ever before. Cecilia would later rekindle her love for Yoga, completing a 500-hour teacher certification in Bali.
In doing so, she discovered powerful techniques (both on and off the mat) that helped her lose that excess weight and thrive in her personal and professional life.
She is now a certified instructor. Her mission is to share her love for this ancient art with the rest of the world and help others – regardless of their age, background, and experience – reap the multi-dimensional benefits of Yoga.

Yoga and the Nervous System
Yoga is connected to the body’s autonomic nervous system, a ‘control panel’ that regulates many of its automatic functions, such as breathing, digestion, and heartbeat.
1. The Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS):
It is associated with your fight-or-flight response, which is triggered through potentially harmful situations like growling dogs, extreme stress, or sudden loud noises and is attributed to feelings of anxiety and nervousness.
2. The Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS):
The rest and digest system also conserves energy by slowing your heart rate, regulating digestion, and managing intestinal and gland activity. The SNS and PNS are connected like a see-saw: when one goes up, the other goes down.
Unfortunately, since modern life assaults you with endless stress and jarring stimuli, your mind and body spend a lot of time in a state of imbalance – leaving you struggling to relax, recharge, and focus on your daily life.
Studies show that yoga returns this balance to you by activating your SNS and PNS at different workout points.
In short, it profoundly affects your body’s inner workings, strongly influencing how you feel, think, and appear.
This is the main benefit of yoga, in my opinion. Just imagine how much better the world would be if we were more balanced in our autonomic nervous system.
